Washington DC - Senator Barack Obama has apparently settled on his choice for a running mate and will alert his supporters via text message, perhaps as soon as Wednesday morning, aides said.
My sources inside the Obama campaign report he has chosen Delaware Senator Joseph BIden, prompting more sporadic celebrations among McCain supporters. Over his many years in office, Senator Biden has distinguished himself with statements such as this one referring to Barack Obama: "I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.” Even fellow Democrat Ted Kennedy has said Biden "possesses the intellectual depth of a bedroom slipper."
My comment: The Big B.O. chooses Biden? Are you kidding me? This is the same guy who, when giving a speech to Indian Americans said, "I've had a great relationship [with East Indians in America]. In Delaware, the largest growth in population is Indian Americans - moving from India. You cannot go to a 7-11 or a Dunkin' Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I'm not joking." Ahem. I'm starting to think Obama took maybe one-too-many hits off the 'ol crack pipe a few years ago.
