CHICAGO (SR) - Illinois Democrats Gov. Rod R. Blagojevich and his Chief of Staff, John Harris, were arrested today by FBI agents and charged with conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, solicitation of bribery, and conspiracy to be typically-corrupt Illinois Democrat politicians. Blagojevich was also charged with conspiracy to possess a bad hairdo, a misdemeanor.
While Blagojevich was charged with attempting to sell or trade Barack Obama's Senate seat, authorities were quick to clear the President-elect, saying the two were "just friends who did a lot of stuff together."
