SAN FRANCISCO (SR) - Gay activists have angrily denounced Barack Obama's choice of a prominent evangelical minister to deliver the invocation at his inauguration.
Because of his support for the California constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage, Rick Warren, the senior pastor of Saddleback Church in southern California, is wildly unpopular with the LGBT (lively gay butt tampers) community.
"Your invitation of Rick Warren to deliver the invocation at your inauguration is a genuine blow to LGBT Americans like myself, and I know a good blow when I receive one," said Franki Fabulous, president of Sodomites for a Better Tomorrow.
Fabulous also sounded a conciliatory note, offering to forgive Obama in return for the opportunity to discuss his differences with the President-elect and Mr. Warren "over a hot oil message."
Warren was quick to decline the offer, Obama was said to be considering it.
