WASHINGTON (SR) - The White House released a statement today commemorating the terrorist attacks on our country eight years ago today, and apologizing for America's actions that provoked those attacks.
In the statement President Obama says he "personally feels bad" for
the victims and their families, and to this day is "haunted by the loss
of such great office buildings and the injustices that provoked their
destruction."
The statement concludes with the President vowing to continue to reach out to all Muslims angry with the U.S. with an "open hand full of cash," and repeated his promise to close down the Guantanamo Bay detention facility and "dramatically" improve the living conditions for all enemy insurgents in captivity.
