Cindy Sheehan Launches Campaign
Antiwar activist Cindy Sheehan announced today she is running for Nancy Pelosi's (D-Calif) congressional seat. She said, "I gave Pelosi a day to impeach Bush and she didn't. I'm not waiting forever." Running as an Independent, her campaign theme will be "Defeat Before Death." My sources tell me Peace Moonbeam, political activist and close friend of Sheehan (and me) will reportedly be her campaign manager/assistant.
When asked about her agenda should she be elected, Sheehan said, "It's simple - I'll stop the war, dissolve the military, impeach then possibly torture Bush, and hopefully hook up with that hot Obama guy."
This is going to be good.
