WASHINGTON (SR) - The Obama Justice Department filed a lawsuit against Arizona Tuesday, charging that state's new anti-illegal alien law would hamper federal efforts, if there were any.
"Setting immigration policy and enforcing immigration laws is a national responsibility," US Attorney General Eric Holder told reporters. "If we ever want to enforce something, we'll be the ones to do it."
Arizona senators John McCain and Jon Kyl issued a joint statement calling the government suit "what one would expect from a retard who demands enemy combatants be read their rights." The statement concludes with a personal invitation for Holder and Obama to "bite us."
My comments: OK, let's see if I've got this straight: Arizona has passed a law requiring its cops to enforce existing federal laws, so the government is going to borrow millions of dollars it doesn't have to try to prevent them from doing so? Got it!
